In a new effort to protect the consuming public, initially the male public, the Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) has been asked to press Congress for truth in advertising due to the female breast implant market, in particular the sizing and augmentation implementation. According to the proposed legislation, all cosmetic breast implant surgeries would require a skin tattoo label as an indication of the enhancement procedure. According to the BCP, this will protect the U.S. male population from misleading shapeliness in women, which is apparently rampant in women golfers and WAGs. Cancer-related and other illness-related reconstructive surgery would be exempt from the proposed law.
The location of the tattoo is up to the surgery elector, but it must be visible while wearing a standard women’s tanktop according to the proposed regulation. Similar future warnings may target hair transplants, leg limb lengthening, buttock implants and, for inclusivity, penis enlargements. Lip enhancements and rhinoplasty, because they are obvious, are given a waiver.
As a compromise to the objections issued by the National Association of Plastic Surgeons, facial cosmetic surgeries only the require the elective surgery patient to carry an identification card or have an identifier added to their driver’s license or similar government-issued identification. Failure to produce the identification on demand will carry a fine when reported to the police.
