They Shoot Elephants, Don’t They?

Adam Kinzinger has correctly reversed the MAGA projection of accusing true Republicans, or at least what was considered true Republicans, of being RINOs - Republicans in Name Only.  He has correctly called the MAGAs as the real RINOs as they are only carrying the party name.

Politicians, by accident or on purpose, have not had a good reputation historically, but based on the current division in the country, the USA may have a new hunting season beyond deer and duck season.

The MAGA death threats against never-Trumpers and the Democrats, and the public in general, over the last years have initiated a possible new hunting game aimed at Republicans, this time hunting them, and they are easy to spot in the woods with their red hats. 

Threats of violence, which have been the main source of power for the Republicans – doxing, break-ins, swatting etc. may come full circle.   While the MAGA and the NRA have protected their access to guns to threaten Democrats and possibly each other, the tables may be turned and one can only imagine Josh Hawley running like a scaredy cat from the same mob that he and his fellow travelers incited.  One can see the resemblance of a red-hatted deer running through the forest chased by the Blue Man Group.

An interesting path may happen in the future when the protests are from the other side of the aisle, storming capitals and hunting down invertebrate Republicans. There have always been boycotts to make a political point, but violence begets violence, and the Christian Nationalists should remember an eye for an eye, Old Testament mentality cuts both ways.  The glimmers are there, in Republicans facing angry town hall meetings and in Tesla cars being vandalized, and maybe cut in half with chainsaw, except the battery.

One may hear again the phrase in common everyday parlance - Sic Semper Tyrannis - and the speakers of that will not be looking for ivory from the elephants.
